--I was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, as one of four siblings close in age, all within six years. After 4 years of college I left Milwaukee, landing in South Carolina where I earned my real estate license and married.

--I moved to the Atlanta suburbs where I had a 33-year career in real estate. I had the opportunity to wear many hats over the years.  As a real estate broker, I had many successful experiences coordinating teams of developers, builders, inspectors, lenders, buyers, sellers, and agents. There were times the different participants' goals were at odds, giving me first-hand experience bringing all the sides together through cooperation, collaboration, and compromise. My entire life has involved team building and problem solving.

---When not at work, I raised a smart, independent, fun-loving daughter who works on an oncology floor of a children's hospital. I also played soccer for 22 years starting at the age of 26, forming the first  35-years-and-over women's league in Atlanta.  I played on many tennis teams starting at the age of 35 and currently play pickleball a few times a week.

---My plan to retire early and live in Puerto Rico changed after a visit to Gulfport. Like all the others who started or landed in Gulfport, it became home for me. I fell in love with the friendliness of the people, the easy-going vibe and community support of the people for small businesses. Eventually, I met my partner of 10 years, Wolfgang Deininger. Together, we have enjoyed volunteer opportunities, meeting and becoming good friends with other Gulfportians.
